SUNSET MARINA

We went for 1 week. Buffets were great. Food selection changed for each meal daily. Henri and Gonzalo were great waiters and Jose did a great job at the grill (made to order omelettes, etc). Traditional Mexican foods were offered at every meal. Ice cream was just like Italian Gelato! Asian restaurant had great food. You have to reserve for the chef show. Lobster dinner is free but also needs to be reserved. Snack bar by the water used wood burning brick oven for great pizzas. We went over to the beach resort for a day. Nice to have a free shuttle and water taxi. We didn’t really watch the night shows but heard they were good. We were too busy getting awesome drinks from Raul at the evening bar inside. He’s very friendly, remembers your name and drink preference quickly. Mini golf was a fun activity along with free use of kayaks. Crocs were a bit scary but hardly ever saw them. Enjoyed the hot tub right on the edge of the water. Rooms were very spacious. Had a Jacuzzi on the balcony!! Maid service was good. They’d restock beer, sodas, and water if you asked. Overall great vacation and would go back in a heartbeat.

It is time for us to reflect deeply and assume our responsibilities as inhabitants of this wonderful planet.

HACIENDA TRES RÍOS

Another memorable vacation at Hacienda Tres Rios. We were spoiled by Mauricio and Janelly who handled any request, made reservations for us and met every need. Also, we got special attention from Andy and Isabel as well as Patricia, all experienced Concierges. We so enjoy the many restaurants, all of which have efficient, friendly servers, and the food never disappoints. Juan at Portobello was excellent and took time to answer questions about menu selections and also very knowledgeable about Mexican wine which we prefer; also the supervisor over the servers was extremely good at is job (we don’t know his name), but he went out of his way to make Portobello a favorite experience. Luis at Alebrije was so nice and served us a delicious dinner, and Melody, the hostess, was an added delight. Miguel and Beatrice at Hacienda Grill made lobster night so enjoyable; they are efficient and friendly, making a special meal better than even expected. Nataly, Joachim and Antonio at the Pizzeria were familiar faces and always friendly and helpful. The hostesses and servers at Casa Las Islas are All Top-Notch at breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also enjoyed seeing Ishmael again at the Grill for breakfast as he seems to know what we want.. It was great seeing Filberto and Santiago at the beach and poolside, always working hard to serve drinks; also David and Jorge were onboard too. David, the aqua aerobics instructor, was really good and pushed us just enough, but not over the top. Also, Absalom at the Terrace Bar, took good care of us in late afternoon and at happy hour. Everyone works so diligently in housekeeping, and Darvelia did an excellent job keeping our suite immaculate. Getting a wonderful massage by Alina was so enjoyable and relaxing. We got to meet Erick, Capt. of the porters, and we expressed to him our appreciation for their services. This is our sixth year at HTR, and we have nothing but good things to say about this beautiful resort and all the outstanding staff and personnel at all levels! I am Mexico

Let’s explore the cenotes of Yucatán

Let’s explore the cenotes of Yucatan, natural treasures that house priceless historical artifacts and mystical secrets below the surface.

SUNSET MARINA

We have timeshares and belong to RCI. We traded our home resort to visit Sunset. I am completely impressed by the Mexican Resorts and the Hospitality of our Neighbors to the South! I also understand that they also rent to non Timeshare owners and to the public. They have Sister Resorts that you can travel back and forth. Sunset Royal was the sister property right on the ocean. I loved the Lagoon Side at Sunset Marina!

SUNSET ROYAL

Club Sunset is our new home away from home. Rosa Mariofrosco, who prepares breakfast, is the best way to start your day. Her smile lightens our hearts, and her cooking fills our bellies. David and Herni made our suzhun dinner at the Marina a fun and tasty time. Ivan at the Marina showed us a great time on the Hobby Cat, it was good to see him again. Philippa played his sax beautifully at many of our dinners. Jose who led our excursion out on the boats to ride and scuba dive was a pleasure to see again. Hector our driver from the airport was one of the best we have ever had. Having Ralphie on the beach is a nice touch. He was a pleasure to chat with, made reservations for the Spa and excursions easier, and kept our glasses nice and clean. Ricardo and Roberto and Guadalupe in the restaurants were a pleasure as usual. Our massages with Maria, Samuel, Alejandro Griselda were wonderful. Not sure why they have such a turnover at the SPA, it would be nice to see the same faces there as well. Andreas and Isiasi at the beach kept us hydrated, comfortable and fed. Carlos the beach setup worker deserves a medal for smiling throughout his long and difficult day. Mario at Capriccio was wonderful also. Though I don’t know why the Maître De disappeared for 20 min, while I waited to see how long it would take them to bus the empty table in the restaurant. They changed the menu, but it’s still the most popular, so good luck eating there. Giovani the pool bartender kept us all VERY VERY HAPPY. Jesus the bell hop was also as helpful and simile as always upon are arrival. The best part of coming home is seeing the same staff. The room we had 918 A*B is wonderful. The carmista’s keep it sand free and clean, and the snack staff keep the frig and snacks stocked with what you want. Dinners could be better, but Breakfast and Lunch are wonderful at the beach, pool or restaurants. The shows are fun, they don’t need to change Michael Jackson, but they could do with revamping some of the others. They also have one of the best beach areas. All in All, you will have a lovely time.
