At Sunset World, we are committed to raising awareness to build sustainable tourism. We reinforce our commitment to the protection of children and youth through a solidarity agreement. This collaboration is supported by both ECPAT (End Child Prostitution, Child Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) and the State of Quintana Roo and focuses on the protection of children and adolescents from sexual exploitation, pornography and child trafficking.
This commitment reflects our humanistic and progressive vision and demonstrates that it is possible to be a leader in the hospitality industry while contributing to global well-being. In addition to providing exceptional travel experiences, we want to give new generations the opportunity to enjoy a safe and fulfilling childhood. Through ECPAT certification, we have established strict codes of conduct and promoted preventative measures. Recognizing that our employees play a key role in this fight, we have sought to train them to become active agents in the prevention of these crimes.
We are proud to be part of not only a national effort, but also a global movement. In Mexico, more than 62,500 people have signed a petition calling for the creation of a National System for the Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents. At Sunset World, we urge the tourism industry and society in general to join this noble cause. Only through cooperation and awareness can we build a sustainable and ethical tourism where the protection of children is a universal priority. Together we can build a future where every child and youth can grow up in a safe environment, free from exploitation and full of opportunities.
